News, tips, recipes and more...Straight from the farm

I love working and learning on the farm where I grew up, and I want to share what’s going on, and what I’ve learned with you. Stop by for some farm fresh information you can hang your hat on. From farming basics to creating relationships through the agricultural community, I am ready to share everything that we put into providing the best farm to table products.

I’ve never met a challenge I didn’t take head on. There have been some bumps in the road, but I am proud of the farm I run today. There is a lot to learn about how your food gets from farm to table. Making local connections and buying natural food has many benefits and I’m excited to share them with you.

Contact me to talk about any of these posts, anything I have going on at the farm, or to place a beef or egg order. I’m excited to get to know you and for you to be a part of the central Texas local farm fresh community.

At Waste Not Farm, I take a different approach than other traditional farming methods you may be familiar with. One of my uncommon practices is to keep all of my mama cows. Once a cow is done having calves, she stays on my farm for the rest of her life. Some of my retired gals belonged to my dad and are over 22 years old. They all have names, and live a peaceful pasture life and will never be sold.

If you want to keep up with the cows and get more info on what happens day to day on Waste Not Farm, follow me on Facebook or Instagram. Running a successful farm to table business takes a lot of work. I love to share posts, pictures, and videos showing all of the work my son River and I do to keep everything running.
